Advances in Population Research Sessions at EPC 2026

EPC 2026 offers various sponsorship opportunities in the scientific and social program, including a limited number of special sessions. These "Advances in Population Research" sessions allow research projects and organizations to highlight and raise awareness of groundbreaking research, discuss novel findings in the regular conference program, and support EPC 2026 and EAPS.

Deadline 1 January 2026. Proposals for these sessions should be submitted to EAPS (eaps@nidi.nl) by 1 January 2026. The session proposal should include the title and a summary of the topic (no more than 250 words) as well as the list of potential speakers who should come from more than one institution. The session format is open and can consist of conventional presentations, a round table/panel discussion, or any other format. The EAPS Council will review proposals and will inform the applicants of the outcome by 1 February 2026. The assessment criteria for these sessions are scientific quality and/or high policy relevance.

Speakers in an "Advances in Population Research" Session should register as EPC participants. Presentations in these sessions do not count against the “one presentation per author” rule at EPC 2026. Two free EPC registrations for speakers in an Advances in Population Research Session who do not appear elsewhere on the EPC program are part of the special session.

The price of a 90-minute "Advances in Population Research Session" is Euro 10,000. This fee will be used to cover conference organization costs, so special sessions are an opportunity to support EPC 2026 and EAPS. Accepted sessions will appear in the EPC 2026 program as “Special Session – Advances in Population Research”.
