Events and Awards

EAPS is actively organizing and co-organizing several types of events, both with its working groups and with external partners. These events are intended to share knowledge and insights, stimulate networking and encourage collaborations between researchers in the field of population research. The hallmark event of EAPS is the European Population Conference (EPC) that takes place in a different European country every two years. During EPC, experts from all over Europe convene and the winners of several distinguished, peer reviewed awards are presented. 

Next to the EPC, the working groups of EAPS organize their own events around their specific research topics, such as webinars and workshops. In addition, since 2021 there is an annual PhD event where early career researchers can meet and topics particularly relevant for young researchers can be discussed. Moreover, members of EAPS or affiliated institutes can make use of the facilities and network of EAPS to organize their own events or webinars.
