Pre-Conference Program: Side Meetings

EPC 2026 is an excellent opportunity to meet! Prior to the start of the conference and in addition to the regular scientific program, some rooms are available for pre-conference events and side meetings.

Side meetings may never overlap with the scientific program.

All side meeting rooms are in Plesso Belmeloro (Via Andreatta 8, Bologna).

The pre-conference rooms are available on Wednesday 3 June 2026, from 09.00 to 17.00.

Room availability is listed below:

* Fully equipped IT laboratories, each providing one computer per seat.

To make a booking

If you would like to make a booking for a pre-conference event/meeting, please send your request to epc2026@unibo.it. Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

To help cover conference organisation costs, rooms for side meetings come at a price. The costs to hire a room is Euro 500 for a half day (morning 9.00 – 13.00 or afternoon 13.00 – 17.00) and Euro 1000 for a full day. Any extra facilities (such as coffee/tea or lunch) are not included in the booking fee but can be arranged at an additional cost. After you have received confirmation, please pay the fee via ING Bank, P.O. Box 204, 2501 AT The Hague, Netherlands, to the order of the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS), IBAN NL60 INGB 0667 4046 27 (BIC INGBNL2A).

Due to high demand for side meetings, we strongly encourage you to book early. If interest is sufficient, we will explore offering additional pre-conference meeting space on Tuesday, 2 June, at an alternative location in Bologna.

Important: your booking will only be final once you have received the written confirmation from epc2026@unibo.it and once you have paid the room rent to the bank account of EAPS. Note that any extras should be paid on the spot.
