EPC 2012

The European Population Conference 2012 was organized by the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS) in collaboration with the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA), Department of Sociology.

EPC 2012 was a general scientific conference covering a broad range of population issues. "Gender, policies and population"was the special theme of EPC 2012 which received special attention during the opening session as well as a range of simultaneous sessions. EPC 2012 convened at Stockholm University from 12-15 June 2012

The conference program included a plenary Opening session dedicated to the conference theme, a plenary Closing and Award session, simultaneous and poster sessions, as well as an exhibition and side meetings. From 1250 submissions for scientific contributions over 500 papers were presented and discussed in 111 simultaneous sessions and some 300 posters were presented in the 3 poster sessions. EPC 2012 was attended by some 900 participants from all over Europe and beyond.
